I am delighted to give you an insight into Thomas More Catholic School, a learning community, situated at the heart of the community in Purley where children learn about themselves, their relationships with their peers and other adults and their relationship with the world of work.

This is a learning community underpinned by Gospel values where each person is valued and nurtured so that each one’s potential is reached. The ethos of the school enables all students to be supported and cared for as they grow into confident and independent young people able to take their rightful place in society.

We are a consistently high performing comprehensive school enabling students of all abilities to fulfil their potential and achieve  the highest academic standards. 

The staff work enthusiastically to provide an extensive range of enriching experiences for the students, as learning outside the classroom is valued and encouraged; it is essential for their personal development and their enjoyment of school life and prepares them for the world of work.

Working in partnership with parents is a vital component to future success and I believe that the quality of co-operation and communication between school and home has a significant impact on the performance of young people.
